Advising

The Academic Honor Policy affords students the right to an advisor throughout the process. We want to ensure that every student feels supported and informed from start to finish. 

To assist you, a dedicated group of FSU faculty and staff serve as Academic Honor Policy Advisors. These individuals are trained to help you understand the policy and navigate your options.

While we provide a lit of trained advisors, you are also free to select and advisor or support person who is not on our official list. If you decide to select an outside advisor, we strongly recommend that you and your advisor review the Role of Advisor Form to ensure you understand the specific parameters of their participation in the process.

Please note that our Academic Honor Policy Advisors are FSU faculty and staff who volunteer their time to this service in addition to their primary university roles. As they balance these consultations with their regular departmental responsibilities, they may occasionally have a heavy workload and suggest you reach out to another advisor for more immediate assistance. If you do not receive a response from your initial contact within 48 hours, please reach out to a different advisor on our list to ensure you receive timely guidance.
